WSIB – Introduction and Expert Training

This WSIB workshop provides Union Shop Stewards and Executive Board members with targeted education regarding the WSIB process in Ontario. This workshop includes, but is not limited to: the history of the WSIB; understanding workers’ rights, obligations, and reporting requirements; types of entitlement; and managing COVID-19 claims. All attendees are provided with an all-inclusive workbook containing step-by-step guides, relevant policies and procedures, and real-life case studies. This workshop is designed to help provide the tools necessary to reduce long-term legal costs. The seminar will equip employee representatives with the ability to properly prepare for these matters and potentially have benefits granted prior to referring WSIB matters to legal counsel. The program is geared toward unionized work environments; however, it can be easily tailored for non-unionized work environments upon request.
